The Imperfection in the Perfection...
Today i had another conversation with my fellow kakis sisters...

The imperfections that produced a perfection front.
The yearning of perfection
The determination to keep it perfect because of that imprefection.

I can really understand why the front is being built
When the foundation doesn't seems to be perfect
What gives you security is "Being Perfect" yourself
And making all 'perfect' situations that nothing else will go wrong.

Sometimes when emotions set in,
A 'neutral' front is always safe...
Just not to show the down side of one...

because throughout the years, the mindset of
"Showing Weakness is a Loser"
becomes a motto of life...

But showing your Weakness is Also your Strength
As it includes the acceptance of lack
And willing to face the fact for improvements.

It takes Time and the Breakthrough...
And when you begin to laugh at your weakness.
That's when the time you know you loss that
burden to be
'Perfect'...

-----I know you are imperfect, but you are not afraid of being who you are,
for that you are perfect to me.-----

Acceptance says,
"True, this is my situation at the moment.
I'll look unblinkingly at the reality of it.
But I'll also open my hands to accept willingly whatever a loving Father sends me."
-
Catharine Marshall

Acceptance requires a constant decision.
There will always be something that Will pissed you off
And requires Your Acceptance.

Some little thing about others
that doesn't tally with you.
Do not be quick to judge
The quickness might make you a fool

It's just the differences
That requires the harmony of Human's
Acceptance.

Differences make the world beautiful.
Just like having 7 colours in the rainbow.
Surely it won't look nice just with one.

to my dear friend Exxxxx,
(if you happened to be here)
-you might not even know i feel that way:)

I'm so sorry for unknowingly putting my expectations on you (in my <3)
Wishing you to react the way i want.
Just being too demanding.

All along i already know that your lifestyle is that
But because of that clicky feeling.
I want you to react the way that i think
"IT's Right"

What i'm offering Might not be the One
that you need...

Will try to step back and Not comment much:)...
Because it's because you are who you are
That brought us Together...

I Still Love You because i know
"You are Who you are"
"That's why our friendship can go that far"
Love you always,
Adeline

What you have no passion in will not last long~

I know that passion will fade away through time.
What follows after that will be persistence and perseverance to make it happen.

To start with, i don't really have the passion for that
But what i hold on to was wanting to get the certificate.

Of all the years of my education
This period is the most draggy

Whatever it is, i'm just here for ranting...(**O)

My decision to choose this path...
I MUST Finish it well enough...
YEAR 3,
i need to make a commitment to you...
GPA 3.2 (at least)

"Uncle, how many passagers you received today?"
- ade to Taxi driver

From that question unknowingly he talk until our Singapore Education System.

He asked me 2 questions:
"Last time can you go to JC?"
and
"You from Normal Academic(NA) issint?"

I'm very frank with him and said "No" to 1st Qns and "Yes" to the 2nd Qns.

So he just passed a judging comment that "All NA students are very slow in thinking'
To some extend, i do agree
That's why we are given the time to finish O level course in 5 yrs (additional 1 yr)

He later commented that " NA students will never make it big in life"
I was thinking just because of an additional yr of education to complete the same course doesn't mean that we are going to be slow in life.

Everyone doesn't start and end at the same pace.
But what determined our life is really the attitude to continue learning
Never think that you are smart enough
Because the update of knowledge is faster than you think
We will not be able to learn ALL the knowledge in the world
EVEN with a LIFETIME...

2 years back, i was still thinking that i'm kind of smart
But to face the fact, those that think that they are smart
Are really those " Not very smart ones"
Some are even considered as "Fools"

Education system is just a plan of delivering Knowledge to different degree of people.
They are suppose to be an aid and Not a way to determine their path in life
Imagine those students that are still as young as 13.

They are still like a skinny plant with a few leaves.
How can we determined what "fruit" they are without seeing the flowers?

Most important , i think is never let your mindset be "Boxed" in any system.
What moulds us is not the system but how we receive the knowledge in the help of a system.

And lastly, never look down on ourselves to react in how others EXPECT us to react in a system.
Take for example, "Not All Normal Technical (NT) students are Ah beng or Ah Lian"
It's really how you react that will show whether you are one of the "beng"

Once i got a friend from (NT), he said:
"Aiya, people look down on NT students
Always say us "Ah Beng"....so we better stick to it"

"How sad it is to have such a 'confirmation' placed on a teenager?"

Knowledge is power and it won't do you harm for having too much of that...

I picked up a book lying around my house.
Few months ago, my friend lend the book to me and it comes in handy now.

Title : Finding MR. RIGHT (And how to know when you have it) -christian book
Author: Stephen Arterburn and Dr. Meg J. Rinck

From all the small stories that i'm listening to...
I keep asking myself is it a "desporado" thing to find for Miss or Mr Right?

I always think that for me to keep searching for the right one is such a despo thing.
But that book proved me wrong with such good reasoning...
Just by the 'Preface' page...so eager to read it on...

Some interesting stuff that they talked about :
(sentences directly from the book)
Is it okay to look for Mr Right?
We think so.
But more important
-you need to be making yourself right for the moment you find him
(if you do)

There is no guarantee that if you show enough faith or service or try to do the right thing
that God is going to land a good one for you.
You may bargain with God and
negotiate a lifestyle in exchange for a mate, and still
God still may not deliver.

So while we say "Look!" And while you are looking, "Live!"

u will come out more mature and
READY to face up to the next challenge
-Faye
I'm thankful that i got a chance to say
Don't really care about the outcome
But i just want to let it out
Thanks for your maturity, gentleman.
I will overcome that fast and
I know that it doesn't take long.
Not just that i don't feel much
Just that i want to be a mature lady.

2nd day of New Year 2009...

Visited IKEA ,ALEXANDER
With the budget of $100
Managed to get some good stuff
To create an "Urban Chic" theme for my home

Knowing that 2009 will be a better year
I started some changes in my
comforty home...

With that amount i got:

1) Vase
2) Scented dried flower
3)Laundry bag with stand
4)White Tulip Lamp
5)Black Shoe Cabinet
6) Cable tube
7) Big frame
8) 3 Framed mirrors
9)Scene postcards

They are not very heavy but super bulky

Thanks to Jojo...with her 'multi' hands, she helped me carry them around.
Almost called for home delivery ($50) for that ranked 1st in bulky item (Shoe Cabinet)
Only to realised that we can take the plastic wrapper out and get them one by one...
No London cab this time but a normal comfort cab...*phew*

Mum is very pleased with my shopping trip..
(she always scold me for crazy ideas since young)
And the little touch to the living room...
The Tulip lamp adds a soft touch to the living room creating a relaxing mood...
Smell of scented flowers blend in with ambiance

Totally agree with IKEA's statement:

"You don't have to be rich to be clever"

a little peek in the new living room...

That's not All...Still in the midst of transforming:)

Will post the "Before " and "After" pictures.
